So, as you heard, Erbin Garrido's sister is not too confident that police will bring his killer to justice.
Well, the police aren't having that problem. They defied the family's expectations and in less than 24 hours, they caught the man who they believe shot and killed Garrido. He's Anthony Velasquez - Bennett, and this evening he has been charged for murder.
We spoke with Deputy Police Commissioner Chester Williams about what police investigation is indicating about why Garrido was murdered:

DCP Chester Williams - Commander of Operations
"I can tell you since the incident occurred last night the police have been very busy trying to see what we can gather in terms of what may have led to unfortunate death of Mr. Garrido and we have then since obtained statements from witnesses who have given their account of what took place and we have also have in custody the main suspect who is one Anthony Velasquez, and Anthony Velasquez is expected to be charged by the end of day today for the murder. From our investigation it is a case where these 2 gentlemen had a previous misunderstanding and it is alleged that just 7 days ago Mr. Garrido had inflicted stab wounds to Mr. Velasquez. Mr. Velasquez nonetheless did not report that matter to the police, I guess he might have intended to take his own action, that manifested itself last night and so since then we have been on the case of where we want to be in terms of the evidence against Mr. Velasquez and he should be charged by the end of the day today. "
Daniel Ortiz
"Sir now the sister of the deceased suggested to us that she was concerned, she gave a vote of no confidence that the gentleman who killed her brother would escape justice. Are you able to say - you all made a quick arrest but when you go to court it is a different thing."
DCP Chester Williams
"Well, it is sad that she felt that way but again as the police it is our duty to investigate and we don't allow any investigation to go without giving our best and to make sure while we investigate we leave no stone unturned and that was the case with Mr. Velsaquez case. I must say that the officers have been very committed ensuring we get all the evidence that we needed to make that arrest and when it comes to the matter of court we all know that sometimes the things that occur in the courtroom is beyond the control of the police. If a witness later on decided not to go to court or recant a story has nothing to do with the police, we do our job to gather the evidence and put the matter before the court and then it is a matter for the witness to go to court and give their account of what happened and based on that the court makes a determination as to the guilt or innocence of the person."
This evening, police confirmed that 37 year-old Anthony Velasquez, a Mahogany Street resident who also goes by the name "Anthony Bennett" was arrest and charged with Garrido's murder.
Tomorrow, he'll be arraigned and remanded to Prison.
