For lovers of the herb, weed fudge is a discrete pleasure, but a Sandhill man who had enough fudge to float half of San Pedro has been convicted for drug trafficking. Â

Police say he was caught on the island town with several blocks of weed fudge weighing a total of 1.6 pounds.

And yesterday in San Pedro court, 42-year-old Melvin Bood was fined $10,000 for the charge of drug trafficking in the court of Senior Magistrate Tricia Pitts Anderson.

She additionally sentenced him to 3 years stipulating that defaulted payment of the fine would result in him serving an additional 3 years in the Belize central prison.
