Hit And Run Leads To Accident in Free Zone

And from San Pedro to the Corozal Freezone, 20-year-old Odiel Tzul was knocked down as he was walking towards the exit of the Freezone yesterday just before 6pm.

Tzul was hit from behind by a SUV that was reportedly being driven by 21-year-old Brandon Acosta.

Police say Acosta attempted to pull a hit-and-run, but he didn't get far before he collided into a van, driven by 33-year-old Luis Camal, that was coming in the opposite direction.

Tzul was transported to the Corozal Community Hospital and later transported to the KHMH where he is listed in a critical condition. Police requested a blood and urine sample from Acosta, who they say is not complying with them.
