On Monday we showed you the last moment of Supal street resident Nimrod Ftizgibbon's life.

As we told you that footage was captured by a surveillance camera that he himself had set up at his mother's house.

It's a video that Fitzgibbon's family spent hours and hours reviewing as they came to grips with his tragic passing, and by the time we got there they'd developed their own theories about a group conspiracy to carry out the murder of their son and brother.

One of those theories involved this black SUV. The family felt that this moment when it flashed its lights was some sort of signal to indicate that Nimrod who was walking past it at that very moment was the intended target. But while they told us that, new information to 7News points to that insight as erroneous.

That information comes from a Supal street neighbor and the owner of the SUV who says that that flashing light was no such indication. He called into 7News today to clarify that he had no involvement in any plot to murder Fitzgibbon and was merely starting the SUV to leave home at the moment that the camera captured that flash. He stressed also that he has no gang ties or involvement.

Police have yet to make an arrest in Fitzgibbon's murder.
