Switching gears now….today in the house - opposition leader Shyne Barrow pivoted from the Nora Parham Pardon to talk about other complaints of alleged sex abuse which he says are not being taken seriously by the police department. He pointed to a recent case that has garnered a lot of attention on social media - that of Kayjah Burgess:

"To not forget the people that are going through this right now. There is a young lady by the name of Kajah Burgess, who was allegedly raped by her stepfather, since she was a child and recently went to the police station to file a report and she was turn away. And so a lawyer had to take her in there to make that report."
