At the top of the news, we promised an interview with Ramon Espat Jr.'s common law, Zayda Cuellar. She was the first of his loved ones to discover his slain body riddled with bullets and bleeding out in front of her restaurant.
His death came just 5 minutes after their last happy phone exchange - was a level of shock she still can't comprehend.
That day she had been on her feet all day working despite a mid-term pregnancy but says that when she got the call she dropped everything to run to Ramon's side - but by then it was already too late.

"Then he called me and he told me at around 12:00, 12:20 he called me and he asks if everything is okay and I told him yes babe everything is good then I had sent him a text saying Gordo I can't take it anymore and then he had made a joke that you put yourself there so now tek your lick. Ok babe I told him and that was the last time we spoke. 5 minutes after my worker called me and she says boss, boss the shot Ramon come here to spicy bites. I left everything I ran and I said to a friend who was there take me to spicy bites because they shot Ramon and when I came and we came as fast as posssible. We were in a traffic jam running from there at Buddha I got out and I ran here. When I got here I just saw blood there and Ramon wasn't here anymore and then I asked but what happend. I said to the teo securities what happened? and they said I don't know."
"I didn't lose anymore time asking anymore questions I took Ramon and I said to brother take me take me and he took me, my brother took me on his motorcycle we went and when we got to the hospital in that moment his sister was already coming in. One of his sister's was already coming in in the hospital and the security told me that I couldn't come in because only one person could and I understood I stayed in the corner and I waited there that's where his mom and his dad were and they started insulting me they started attacking."
"They didn't let me get close they didn't let me go in because the sister was already inside so I waited and waited and when they gave us the bad news it was that Ramon was dead."
Cuellar says that since that traumatic moment she saw Ramon lying in his own blood outside the restaurant she hasn't been able to get his face out of her mind.
