And the police have their hands full with the recent murders, but also with the Edibles Outrage. It's been two days since over 30 children ate marijuana-laced candy, resulting in them having anxiety attacks, vomiting, and even passing out. And in those two days, we discovered that the edibles came out of the police's exhibit room after they were confiscated by customs after they found a barrel full, which was addressed to another former cop.

And today, the prime minister said that he was horrified when he first heard about the incident, and said that there needs to be a deeper investigation into what went wrong.

John Briceño, Prime Minister
"I think it was horror, I don't think we could find the right adjectives to describe when you found that all of these kids were given edibles that seemed to be laced with marijuana and I don't think there are words to describe how we felt and especially the parents when they saw how their children were behaving being induced by some sort of drugs and it just shows that as a society, we have to be careful with everything that we do and to ensure that these things should not happen and we have to ensure that it never happens again to our children."

"What I did, I got the first information when it happened, I was immediately alerted about what happened and again the minister and the commissioner of police said that they would leave no stone unturned to be able to find the perpetrators, those that are responsible for this. I can see how the people who were selling could say well, they were not aware that this was not candy because I'm sure that if it is in a, when they picked it up, I'm sure it was in some sort of wrapping and they could see that it was induced with drugs and I find that unforgivable that they would do such a thing to go to a school and sell it but now we're finding out there's different layers, it's like an onion that you go peeling and starting to find more and more into it. Now I saw what Mr Vasquez said late last night, it seems that it was sent to a police and then Customs Department stopped it, passed it on to the police doing the investigation and for some reason the person in charge of the exhibit decided to throw it away. I can comment on the person at the exhibit that threw it away, that person knows better, there's a procedure when you go to throw away, quote unquote, confiscated/government property, there's a process so I think more investigation to find out why is it he threw it away, bad smell, but that is not an excuse and certainly whosoever imported those edibles, it's irrelevant if it's a police officer or not, that person has to be brought to justice.
