Last Friday morning, a 35 year old woman reported that her 36 year old husband came home intoxicated, woke their 5 year old son up, and put a gun in his hands. The incident occurred in Hopkins on the night of May 25th, just after 11. The man reportedly told his wife that he didn't raise his son to be a "punk" and took him outside to teach him how to hold a gun. Frightened, the boy urinated himself. The man took him to the bathroom while his wife hid the firearm in their vehicle. After that the man went into the vehicle and drove off.
Reports are that he has not been charged as yet and while his gun was temporarily taken away, our sources say the cops are planning to return it. We asked the ComPol about this case yesterday.
Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police
"I'm not aware of that, as you know I was out of the country. I came back yesterday. I will have a check with the Southern Regional Commander to see if that is true and if that is the case then certainly he's not fit to be a licensed gun holder and I will make recommendation to the Firearms and Ammunition Control Board to see if we can have that licensed revoked."
