The blood feud between Double Head Cabbage and Lemon has resulted in two dead, and, in the last week, three persons were also shot.
So what is driving it? On Monday the compol said it's all because of a cricket dispute:

"There are several issues from what we have been told, but one of the most salient issue is that this emanated from cricket. Some people in the area have told me that it is bigger than cricket, that there are other factors that led to this rivalry between the two groups."
Well, tonight the Belize National Cricket Association says that's not true. A statement says, quote, "The feud is absolutely not caused from cricket. Your utterance that the feud in Belize River Valley is caused from cricket is not correct and could damage the image and reputation of the sport we so love in the Belize River Valley. It will potentially cause withdrawal from our youths, supporters, fans, sponsors and affiliates. I am therefore kindly asking you to retract this statement on the news media stations that aired your statement...Most of the young men involved in the feud play cricket but they are not fighting because of cricket nor have they fought over a cricket game." End quote.
We'll see if the Compol makes a public retraction.
