A police officer says he was threatened with a gun inside his home in Belize City. Last night at 9:00, 39 year old Police Officer Briceno Shal had gone to the shop and was returning to his home at the corner of Dean and Plues Streets. When he got to the verandah when he was confronted by two men he recognized as Edward Saldano and Damion Saldano, area residents who he has known for over five years. The brothers are also well known to police.
Shal says that Edward Saldano, 25, pulled a shiny object from his pocket, pointed it at Shal's chest, and threatened him, accusing him of hanging out in the neighborhood of a rival gang. Both brothers then left the property and dashed down Dean Street. Police are looking for the two suspects to charge them.
