Woman Alleges Cab Driver Raped Her

A 30-year-old taxi driver was taken to court today to be arraigned on a rape charge-but never made it before a magistrate.

Reports are that on Sunday around 8 a.m., a woman entered his taxi, but instead of taking her to her destination, the driver allegedly took her to his home and raped her.

Brandon Tillett of Neal Pen Road was arrested and charged on Thursday, but when he was brought to court this morning, no magistrate was available due to a judicial retreat.

As a result, Tillett was taken back into police custody and will remain detained over the weekend. His arraignment is now set for Monday.
