Remanded For Democracia Chopping

On Monday we told you about a chopping incident that occurred in La Democracia Village. Well, 21 year old Paul Smith Junior was arraigned today for the attempted murder of Tyrone Godoy. Smith appeared unrepresented before Magistrate Ludlow Black and was read three offences: attempted murder, use of deadly means of harm and grievous harm upon Tyrone Godoy. Due to the nature of the offences no plea was taken from Smith and he was not offered bail. Smith had also been arraigned and previously granted bail for handling stolen goods and escape from lawful custody. He was remanded to the Belize Central Prison until August 6th.
