Last night saw a slew of shootings across the country, resulting in four persons being injured. At around 6:30, 25 year old Orlando Acosta and a 16 year old male were shot in Pomona. ASP Stacy Smith explained that they were not the intended targets. She spoke with us via Zoom.

"Initial investigation revealed that these two persons were standing outside of a business establishment when they were approached by persons onboard two motorcycles. the pillion rider of one of the motorcycles reported to have produced a firearm and fired several shot resulting in the injury of those persons. A number of video footage has been retrieved and they are being reviewed as it is believed that it will assist the ongoing investigation."
"No motive has been established however we are not of the view that any of injured individuals was the target but another individual that was in the group."
