He broke into a church and stole the father's cash pan.
47-year-old Denfield Lemott has been remanded to the Belize Central Prison after being accused of burglarizing Divine Mercy Church and stealing $2,000 in cash.
Police say the theft occurred while the church's administrator briefly left her office, and although she and a gardener attempted to stop the suspect as he fled, he escaped on a motorcycle.
In court today, Lemott pleaded not guilty to the burglary charge but was denied bail due to another pending burglary case and remains on remand until October 2nd.
