He is the lead singer for the popular Orange Walk Band Electro Sounds but now Roberto Carlos Hoare has gone solo. After 15 years in music, “Captain Roby” as he is called this week released his first solo CD titled: “carnival back inah we Belize.” It took 9 months to produce and he has ten tracks with a little bit of paranda, little bit of soca and a little bit of cumbia.

“This CD was intended for all my Belizean people and as you know it has the theme, carnival back inna we Belize. We know that September has passed but it can be used for many Septembers to come. And also I have a lot of messages in this CD for the Belizean mothers and fathers to get some advice out to them. five are Spanish and five are English and this was intended for the Belizean public to get a hold of, we’re a mixture and most of it is English and Spanish.
Now we’re on the verge of having different Belizean artists in the country doing their music and I just wanted to join them in a positive way to give messages across to my people and that is one of the reasons why I know that Belizean people should buy Belizean artists’ music.”
The CD was recorded at Ludwig Studios and is available at major music stores for $25.
