Whenever there are official or state funerals as there were for Andy Palacio, Barry Bowen and most recently, Mr. Peters, we've grown accustomed to seeing schoolchildren lining the streets and highways saying their goodbyes. It is a touching scene and a fond remembrance, but really is it duty more than collective grieving? And if it is, we can't really be angry with the kids; it's not their choice to go out on the street and wave.

But still it's interesting to find out what they're really thinking because sometimes kids say the darndest things:...
