It's the tenth weekend - and it's a long one at that - so there's a very full slate of events - including visiting foreign artists. Of course, it's a Jamaican, a hot newcomer to the dancehall scene called Charlie Black.
His show will be held on Saturday inside Club next and Monica Bodden caught up with the dancehall superstar:…
Charlie Black
"Well I am going do my best as usual at all shows but like I said too it's a carnival weekend and I feel that I bring 150% that I normally have on a show because I heard that they are hype about the show and everything and carnival energy is a more higher energy."
Orson Picart, Promoter
"We decided to let's do something big for September especially for the people of Belize so we decided to say here what why not bring the biggest upraising dancehall artist there is in the Caribbean and that is Charlie Black so that was a no brainer so we decided that we are going to do Charlie Black and we are going to make it a concert/dance so that people can
get 2 for the price of one."
Charlie Black
"Well I just wanna thank Belizean people for having me in their country and I am going to be here partying all weekend and like I said this Saturday Flavas Entertainment presents the official after bash carnival at Club Next, I'll be performing."
The concert is on Saturday at Club Next. Tickets are 30 dollars in advance and 35 at the door.
