We got the idea last night after Deputy Commissioner Edward Broaster cut a joke about not having any beef with fellow Deputy Chester Williams.
Well, he may be a senior cop, the third in command actually, but Broaster's been clowning around for a long time - all the way back to April first, 1999 when - then just an inspector - he teamed up with us to pull this all-time April Fool's prank - here it is, again, from 19 years ago:…
