And while Belize's footballers are hoping Soca Loca can take them global, There won't be much local soca in the streets come September. That's because Carnival is once again canceled.
The celebration of music and dance in the streets is still deemed too dangerous to fit pandemic parameters.
But while there won't be any costumes or street frivolity, N.I.C.H isn't letting the September spirit die. And this morning the organization's President Sapna Budhrani appeared on the SunUp couch to tell us what's in store for this upcoming season of celebration.
The season kicks off in August with the celebration of Emancipation Day.
