Salvation Army Gives Needy Families A Christmas Meal

Every year, hundreds of families look to the Salvation Army to get help with that warm Christmas meal. In previous years, the organizations would distribute hampers, but they've begun to give out vouchers instead, that can be redeemed at a supermarket.

And Major Jonathan Kellman explained that this tradition is one that needy Belizean families really look forward to, since many times, their pockets are stretched even thinner during the holidays.

Each voucher is valued at $45.
