They are right now on Hannah Montana's sold out world tour but later this month - "Everlife" will be in Belize. The group of 3 sisters – are all the rave on the Disney Channel – and will be performing alongside Chasen, an all boy rock band, in the ‘Roc and ROWKids for Education’ benefit concert. Everlife and Chasen will be performing on March 28th in San Ignacio and in Belize City on March 29th. The “Roc” – in Roc and Row - is an abbreviation for “the Rhythm of Change” Belize - a charity formed and chaired by Eurocaribe Shipping’s Martha Williams. Its mission is assisting underprivileged children with education. The Row – is ROW-Kids which is based in the USA. Their focus is on increasing educational opportunities for children in the rural areas of Cayo. ROC's Neil Hall and ROWKids' Anthony Cole Link stopped by our studios this afternoon and told us the concert will be on another level.

Neil Hall, ROC Belize
“They are Chasen which is a top ten Christian rock group as well as Everlife who are a Disney band who will be performing. They are known because of their performance on Hannah Montana’s ‘Best of both Worlds tour,’ an internationals tour, and they are the opening band for that tour. They will be visiting Belize and they will be having a whole array of events and activities thrown at them Belizean style and then they will culminate their trip, which will last for approximately a week with two tours.”

Anthony Link, ROWKids
“We’re bringing Everlife and Chasen here to throw an entire family event. Gates open at 4 o’clock, its going to go 6 to 11 like Neil mentioned, children at the most high will open. We are going to have frisbees throwing out there, we’re going to have beach balls, it’s a good family fun, there is going to be coke, there is going to be monster products. We want everybody to come out both in San Ignacio, if you are around that area, or if you are in Belize City to come out and enjoy the concert.”

“The whole purpose of this week is to really spotlight education. Row kids, we’ve been working in the Cayo area, providing the children after primary school sponsorship so they can continue their education. We joined forces with ROC in bringing the roc and row kids concert to raise funds to help children in Belize City where ROC is associated and in the rural areas in which we are associated to really help the children continue their education and make something of themselves and have a potential.”

Neil Hall,
“We realized one of the thing that is affecting children is the fact that they are children going to school who don’t have a meal. With this we then realized that if children eat at lunchtime, they obviously they will have the strength and interest to finish the day and learn the entire lesson. For children who are going to school without textbooks, this also an inhibitor in their educational process so we figure that is another way we can help them. Some children just have a harder time getting to school, some children don’t have the proper tools to be in school and this is how we at roc will look forward to helping these children after the concert.”

Again the concert dates are March 28th and the 29th. Click here for the concerts MySpace Page.
