Last Thursday we followed students from the University of Belize as they walked out of class to join the NTUCB in protesting against corruption and in the name of good governance.
And tonight in a press release the NTUCB says that they have received very credible reports from some of the members of the National Student Union of Belize, that they are being targeted for leaving classes last week Thursday.
The Unions today condemned the actions of particular individuals at the University of Belize, stating that quote: "Our children and youth cannot be thought to be subservient in this day and age."
The NTUCB also says that they will be monitoring the situation and plan to take any necessary action if the management of the University seeks to endorse these types of actions against its students.
