The worsening sargassum crisis on our beaches is taking a devastating toll on local marine life. On the north side of Ambergris Caye, seventeen endangered Loggerhead sea turtle hatchlings were found dead on the shore. They are believed to have gotten tangled in the thick mats of sargassum.
