The Prime Minister's Wife, Kim Barrow is back home tonight. She arrived in the country this afternoon on an American Airlines Flight from Miami.
Barrow had been away for over a month, since mid-May at Miami Baptist Hospital.
On May 18th., she suffered heart failure and the Prime Minister and their daughter had to rush to Miami to be at her side.
Since then, as the PM put it, it's been tough going - since Mrs. Barrow's heart was irreversibly damaged by the medication for her stage four breast cancer.
According to the PM, she has 10-15% heart function.
But her condition ahs been stabilized and that enabled her to travel home today where she looked well enough when arriving at the PGIA.
The Prime Minister and their daughter picked her up and took her home.
According to an official statement, Mrs. Barrow has expressed her profound appreciation for all the good wishes and expressions of concern from Belizeans at home and abroad and is extremely happy to be once again at home among family and friends.
