Last night, there were coronavirus deaths: one, a man from the Toledo District, and, the other, a woman from the Orange Walk District; no details were shared about their ages. There have been a total of 131 deaths since March.

And, tonight, sadly, the news coming out of the office of the Director of Health Service tonight is grim and foreboding.

10 COVID related deaths were recorded today - which ties the record reported in a single day.

But it is important to note that not all of them died today but rather, they were all identified today.

The deaths are of seven males and three females - three from Cayo, one in Belize City, two in Toledo, and two from Orange Walk.

There are also 72 more positive cases, the majority of which, thirty five, were identified in Cayo.

There is some good news as 7News has learned that starting tomorrow all Police Officers attached to eastern division will be able to do rapid COVID-19 testing at a facility in Belize City.
