And while he was blessed with that "second opportunity", not so for many others taken away by COVID.

Indeed, with 4,481 active cases and 32 persons in the hospital plus 6 in the ICU, the healthcare system is under maximum stress - as are the healthcare providers.

The Minister of Health and Wellness commented on it today:

Hon. Michel Chebat, Minister of Health and Wellness
"Listen, there is no secret that our health system is under stress, our health officials are stress themselves, they have been working very hard. They have done a monumental job so far and I want to take this time to recognize them. I want to recognize the work that the ministry of health has done, the frontline workers, the public health officers, the nurses and doctors - but this is a tremendous feet and this is nothing that only the health workers can do. We need people to take this serious. We need the help of the public to understand what we are confronting and unless we change our behavior, this is not going to stop. No amount of medicine, no amount of doctors and nurses can stop this. This disease is being spread by human behavior."

A release from Chebat's Ministry lamenting the loss of the Honourable Vega says, quote "If you have difficulty breathing, shortness of breath, or chest pain, seek medical attention immediately. Now, more than ever, it is important to seek medical advice and/or care early. This could be the difference between life and death."
