The Belize COVID-19 Cash Transfer Program known as "BCCAT" will be launched tomorrow, February 17. The program comes as a form of monetary relief for those in a financial crunch. The applications for the program were completed over the last seven months and the countrywide selections are being done in eight phases. Once they are enrolled in the program, 21,500 households will receive supplementary short term emergency cash. The beneficiaries will get three payments of $300 every two months for a six month period.
BCCAT beneficiaries will be notified of their successful application and payment dates via text.
