No official announcement of his travel was made but Prime Minister John Briceno is in El Salvador to assume the pre-term presidency of SICA. At the official handover, Briceno reaffirmed the country's commitment to strengthening regional integration and cooperation.
And today he met with the Vice President of El Salvador Félix Ulloa. According to an Instagram post, their discussions focused on strengthening cooperation, deepening partnership, and exploring new opportunities for collaboration.
This week Cabinet announced its approval for Belize to sign and later ratify a Partial Scope Agreement with the Government of the Republic of El Salvador. The Agreement will be signed on the 2nd July 2026 in San Salvador.
