The search for four missing park rangers in Toledo has ended and tonight all four are back home with their families. Residents in Laguna Village told us that at 8 am on Tuesday morning Alberto Muccu, Mariano Ack, Llam Choc, and Santos Coc left in a single dory to patrol the Agua Caliente Marine Park. The patrols are organized to detect illegal fishing.

The men were supposed to return to Laguna on Wednesday but they didn't. An extensive search was launched and this afternoon, all four were found. The rangers say they encountered bad weather and flooding and they had to seek shelter in what's known as the Machata Reserve. They were found in good health and spirits, not very much the worse for wear.

The rangers perform several patrols during the week. Laguna Village is located 14 miles from Punta Gorda Town.

In related news from the Toledo District, tonight Coast Guard and Police personnel are still searching for Cattle Landing resident Albert Johnson who has been missing at sea since Tuesday morning. Douglas Westby tells police that Johnson headed into open sea in a dory. He was going fishing, and said he'd be back at 6:00, but hasn't returned yet.
