Tint Is Still Legal

If your vehicle is tinted there is no reason to tear off the tint tonight. As we reported - in October Minister of Transport Jose Coye signed a statutory instrument outlawing the use of heavy tint on private vehicles. The SI was passed on insistence from the Police Department. It was supposed to come into effect tomorrow December first. But today Communications Officer in the Ministry of Transport Glenn Tillet told us that the implementation date has been pushed back. He says authorities need to acquire the equipment needed to test the level of tint. Whenever that is acquired - he says drivers will be given fair notice.
