The Elon Musk company is a satellite internet service that would enable rural communities to connect to the internet with a small dish outside their homes. We asked the Minister of State in the ministry of education today whether he is in support of Starlink's application and here's what he had to say.

"Well I know that this has been in discussion at cabinet so it's not something that has been determined fully so I cannot speak for what cabinet will do I believe ultimately yes we all seek to have communication and information technology available to all our citizens right and I also found out that there are some complications that could occur during weather, severe weather conditions that might not work well enough so I know those things are being considered at the end of the day it will be the wisdom of cabinet to determine what we will do in that application."
