Eric Chang - he's a two term member of the UDP city council - who will soon be seeking a chance for a third term. But the charismatic Chang may have run into a roadblock - and may be standing on the edge of a personal scandal. 7news has learned that the customs department has confiscated Chang's DMAX pickup - and is investigating it to see if duties have been paid and if it is a properly registered vehicle.
According to reports to our newsroom, the vehicle investigation comes after police searched Chang's home last night. Police would not comment on the search and customs would not comment on the vehicle, other than to say it is in their possession while an investigation is ongoing.
We called and text messaged Chang, but we were unable to reach him.
