Aragon Denies Mason Financing

Here on this newscast you've seen many politicians from the ruling party account for their relationship or non-relationship with William Danny Mason - but, now, a UDP Area Rep says one newspaper has gone too far in linking him to Mason. Minister of State Elodio Aragon says he's suing the Belize Times for alleging that Mason gave him a $20,000 dollars campaign contribution to set up his divisional office in Orange Walk East. Today, Aragon posted on his Facebook that the allegation is "completely untrue." He adds, quote, "I consider what they have done an affront to my good name and character." Aragon says he's getting an attorney to review the article.
