As we told you last week, the UDP Cabinet sent out a unanimous endorsement of the Yes to the ICJ position last week Tuesday.
And this weekend, the ruling party's National Party Council met to do the same. A press release says that a vote was taken on the ICJ, quote, "result(ing) in a resounding unanimous decision to endorse Cabinet's declaration in fully supporting a "YES" vote, as the United Democratic Party's official position.
So, with the UDP now declaring, quote "full and unwavering support for a "YES" vote" - and the PUP declaring last week that it is a firm "No", April 10, 2019 is coming down to what we're all so used to: a race polarized along stark political lines. But, real political power is not at stake, so, likely, the contest between the parties may be decided by which said can find money to mobilize their votes.
