We also asked the Mayor about his Deputy, Allan Pollard. Over the weekend the young politician - who was formerly a party organizer - was allegedly somehow involved in boat party - which police stopped.
We asked the Mayor about that incident yesterday.

"I don't know the full story but it's an unfortunate situation and clearly, if it's so as it is being reported it would be poor judgement on the deputy's part and we continue to preach as leaders in our communities that we must lead by example, we have to be compliant. I continuously, continuously preach about being complaint, we are a very indiscipline society Renata, very, very undisciplined we love to break rules and we would see a stop sign; we would see a no entry sign, we would see a red light and we would run the red light. We are a very undisciplined society and that has been much to our own demise in certain cases and clearly the incident on Saturday we have to look at it as a council and we have to go back to the drawing board and recognize that we as leaders have to be held accountable to the people. If we are preaching that the individual must treat the regulation by the ministry of health in the vein that it is to be held, we have to practice it as well and clearly, I don't know the full extent of the story and during the course of the day I will be briefed on it."
But Deputy mayor Allan Pollard took to social media last night to make an outright denial. In an angry post on his Facebook page, Pollard said quote:
"I Allan Pollard DID NOT organize any boat party!!! I don't know where these media houses get their info and I can't understand how they can be so comfortable posting rumors and baseless garbage!
The last event I organized was probably in 2019 or so, I have completely left that industry and I have absolutely no interest there at this time.
Listen, not because I'm young means that I will allow you to try and bully me in the name of politics. Grow up!
