And since the crop has started, the Commission of Inquiry is not far behind. The Prime Minister committed to set it up within 30 days of BSI and the BCFA signing a commercial agreement - so the clock is ticking.

Today Mai emphasized the need to get it going expeditiously, but he said that they're waiting on a couple names from ASR/BSI.

Jose Mai, Minister of Agriculture

"We have names from people from Mauritius, I think ASR, through our Attorney General's office has said that they want to add two more people to that cocktail of experts. So we are awaiting for those two names and we are moving on. I think we have given them a time span to submit the names and we shall include them and we need to roll. We cannot keep dragging our feet on this so I asked my staff just a while ago has BSI submitted their names then we would have moved on but we cannot be chasing our tail like dogs in circles, we have to move on with this."

Reporter:
"Do any of those names include a chairman?"

Jose Mai, Minister of Agriculture
"The chairman is about to be named."
