Last night on the news we played a clip from the PUP morning show named "The Whip" where host Vaughn Gill who is a close confidant of the Prime minister openly suggested that PUP Corozal Bay Area Representative Elvi Vega had some questions to answer about how she was spending the twenty three hundred dollars monthly which the government gives area representatives to pay for a constituency office and a secretary. He says she wasn't paying that because she was using the divisional office owned by the People's United Party. Today we asked the Prime Minister to comment on Gill's scathing remarks about his own area representative and the PM did not want to go there.
John Briceno, Prime Minister

"But the truth of the matter is that in some instances, you manage to have available an office that is given to you. In this instance, it's the PUP. So what then basically happens is that they use that money to be able to assist within the constituency."
"The money is that you have to assist the constituencies about $2,000 plus from that fund. It's not from the scheme of things. It is not much money."
"But seriously, it's that I believe that Honorable Elvi Vega would then use that money that has been freed up, and then she could be able to use to continue to help the people in Corozal Bay."
Since Gill's comments aired Vega has posted a message she received from the deputy secretary general from the PUP, Collet Montejo telling her that she needs to vacate the office by today.
