And while the matter of who gets the color red is very far from being settled - Panton says she will launch another legal salvo against Shyne Barrow - in an attempt to block him from installing new candidates:...
Tracy Panton, Leader, TPUDP
"We announce today that a new case is now in the process of being filed in the Supreme Court for an order to be made by the court to prevent Shyne from appointing candidates to run against duly elected, and endorsed standard bearers of the United Democratic Party. We are asking the court to hear this case as a matter of urgency, if we are successful in securing an order from the court."
"It will mean that none of the candidates appointed by Shyne to represent the UDP will be able to do so, save an accept they run as independent candidates. If we are unable to get that order from the court."
And, on cue, Barrow's UDP today formally announced the candidacy of activist Jose Uc Espat in Tracy Panton's Albert constituency. One UDP insider told us that today's events have ensured that election day will be, quote "a UDP Apocalypse."
