But the clock is ticking, and the teachers had demanded a response to their most recent letter today. So far, our sources say that has not been forthcoming. We asked the minister for an update as to when they are expected to meet with the union again.
Francis Fonseca, Minister of Foreign Affairs & Culture
"I think, our team is prepared to, to meet, but, you know, we have to be satisfied that that we are meeting in good faith. As I said, I'm very disappointed that, we are both committed to this process and at the same time, you know, we have. And I'm not even sure if it's the entire BNTU but elements of the BNTU, in my view, acting in bad faith, and, not respecting that process that is in place. So, you know, today, disrupting public traffic, I think that's, you know, certainly something that you know, I find very, very disappointing, very, very disappointing. So we are prepared to talk. We have a process in place. We are responding to their last letter. I think we will send that out to today so, you know, let's see where that goes."
