And while he skirts around the outside, there are very concrete allegations with documentation against Pinelo. We asked Usher about those:

Jo-
"He has alleged that Cesar Godinez offered him a bribe, but says he never reported it. Cesar has said he did pay him bribes and showed us a transfer. As Minister of the Public Service, who do you believe, and what are you going to do to get to the bottom of it?"

Henry Charles Usher, Minister of Public Service
"I think that we have to wait for the investigation n to be carried out."

"The bribe is an issue that he will have to explain or the attempt to bribe, I think that is something he will have to explain when that investigation is carried out by the Ministry of Sustainable Development."

JO-
"Do you think Pinelo should be placed on Administrative leave?"

Henry Charles Usher, Minister of Public Service
"That is a decision that the ministry will have to take. They will have to make that request to the Ministry of Public Service, and then the Public Service Commission would then have to approve that he be sent on administrative leave. But normally, in a normal course when an investigation is ongoing the officer in question is put on leave."
