But reports suggest that Miller has not been able to garner the support of the Deputy Prime Minister and Area Representative for Lake Independence, Cordel Hyde, who also happens to be his wife's uncle. Hyde is supporting Pollard. But Miller says he doesn't feel betrayed:

"I did not feel betrayed in any way. Any area representative, just like the delegates in Belize City, they have a right to support who they want to support. And so he has that right, and I respect his decision at the end of the day. But as I shared with you earlier, I have been nothing but a collaborator. I have always worked along with all area reps in Belize City, and that will not change."
