At 6 pm Hurricane Wilma was tracking on a northwestern path in the Caribbean Sea towards the Cayman Islands. The storm is now packing winds of one hundred miles per hour making it a category two hurricane that is rapidly intensifying. And though the good news for Belize is that Wilma turned north, tonight the National Emergency Management Organization remains alert. NEMO met yesterday in Belmopan where operational committees assessed their readiness for Wilma. At this time NEMO is not planning to issue any warnings. That could however change because again Wilma is an unpredictable storm.
