And as a consequence of Hurricane Dean, tonight, Corozal, about half of Orange Walk, and parts of San Pedro are without electricity. Thare are also downed lines throughout the Corozal districts - many of them in remote villages. And partly because of these extended blackouts, NEMO has decided to extend the nighttime curfew for at least another day in the Corozal and Orange Walk Districts. The curfew extends form 8:00 pm and ends at 6:00 am.

Information from BEL to 7NEWS at newstime is that the Corozal District will have fully restored power within two weeks. As of 5:30 power has been fully restored to Caye Caulker, and in San Pedro Town, power has been restored to 50% of the island. Orange Walk will be fully restored by the middle of next week.
