Jeffrey Prosser in Talks with Intelco

But Godfrey may get some ease as ICC Jeff Prosser is in town to have discussions about buying out Intelco. 7NEWS has confirmed that Prosser arrived yesterday to have those discussions and best guesses are that Intelco may be sold by mid August. It's unclear what configuration Prosser would want the two companies to operate under, but the deal is certainly within his strategic interests because from the outset Prosser made it clear that he does not believe that competition results in better service. Early indications are that Prosser may want to keep Intelco whole and have it as an independent affiliate with its own customer base. But again, all that is speculative as talks continue.
