And while the intrigue persists today a torrent of releases came in most of them in support of Tourism Minister Mark Espat from, it seems, just about every tourist group except the crab catchers of Caesar Ridge road. The releases are from the chapters of the Belize Tourism Industry Association in Belize, Cayo, Corozal and Dangriga. The organization has expressed it's solidarity with the actions of the G7. One of the chapters in particular the one in Belize condemns the investment of monies into failing business schemes when it should have been invested in critical tourism infrastructure. Also making statements were the Belize Hotel Association, the Belize Eco?Tourism Association, the Belize National Tour Operators Association all expressing their support of the actions of the gang of 7 and in particular the work that former Minister Mark Espat has put into the tourism industry.

But while there were those in favor of the 7's actions, the Belize City Council issued a release signed only signed by the Deputy Mayor stating that councilors stand with unwavering support for the Prime Minister and his fiscal policies.
