He's been at the center of a very public debate over the DFC for a long time and now, 7NEWS has received credible information which tells us that Troy Gabb is gone from the bankrupt development bank. 7NEWS has learned that Gabb agreed to terms for his departure with government and he leaves effective the end of this month.

Whether he is being fired or agreeing to go is a matter of interpretation, but according to our information Gabb agreed to leave with a modest compensation package, meaning that government did not have to "buy out" his contract which is valid through to 2006.

What happens next at the DFC? Well, we are informed that it is moving on with liquidation, and that means that with Gabb out, effective July first new board member chartered accountant Arsenio Burgos will reportedly oversee that process. He will be joined on the new board by Kay Menzies, Dr. Cardo Martinez, and for those big time hard pay stars, JL's Maurice Underwood.
