Butane gas prices shot by $9 in April and as of today there is a further increase of $4. In Belize City a one hundred pound cylinder of gas is now $106. In Belmopan and Dangriga it is 108 dollars; in San Ignacio $111; in Benque $112; in Orange Walk $107; and $109 in Punta Gorda.
These prices do not include delivery so for example in Belize
City, the new price will actually be $108. The Ministry of Finance says there was an increase in the acquisition cost.
