And, now for something completely different - we go back to our interview with Minister Edmond Castro. He's the man behind his much promoted "Poppa Jeff's" Salted Beef. So, we wondered how he would feel that Belize is now finally legally exporting cattle to Guatemala and Mexico.

He said, he wants to keep it local:

Hon. Edmond Castro - Minister of Transport

"I am happy for the country. I am happy for our cattle farmers to be able to export their beef to Mexico or Guatemala. I am very extremely happy bringing foreign currency but from where I farm and where I sit, I would like for Papa Jeff to get so big that they would be less need to export beef to Mexico and Guatemala because Papa Jeff will be able to take it and make more smoked salt beef to supply the country, export to our neighbours in the Caribbean and in Central America."

Jules Vasquez

"We the export hypertension."

Hon. Edmond Castro

"And we will also be able to make… instead of importing corn beef in a can, that you don't know what you getting, we will be able to, and I know we can make corn beef locally right here that will taste nicer than anything you will ever purchase in a can. It will be healthier and you know what you getting."

Jules Vasquez

"Is growing this business that you have a part of your retirement plan for when the UDP loses?"

Hon. Edmond Castro

"No, let me say, let me answer you correctly, we will get - as a party, we will get to 16 first, so when we get to 16 first, the gravy doesn't matter, it doesn't matter if you want extra gravy."
