And while the government employer and its union employees continue to negotiate into the new fiscal year AND INTO TONIGHT, industrial relations aren't quite as tense at BTL.

The Belize Communications Workers Union and BTL today signed a four year Collective Bargaining Agreement with BTL for its 229 members.

According to a release from the Ministry of Labour, both parties, quote "negotiated provisions to maintain and enhance the good relations…in dealing with the unprecedented labor and commercial challenges brought about by COVID 19." The CEO of BTL, Ivan Tesecum, signed the CBA along with the president of the BCWU, Mark Gladden. The Minister of State in the Ministry of Labor, Ramiro Ramirez, was also present.
