And while the meetings with the government continue at this hour,, we asked Frazer what would happen if GOB yielded to the unions and removed the salary cut despite the budget already being debated in the House and passed in the Senate?

Well, she explained that from the joint unions' perspective, the process to revert it would not be difficult:

Sharon Frazer, President, APSSM
"The last letter that came to us was to tell us that the Ministry of the Public Service was going to advise the governor general to cut salaries, 12,000 and above, ten percent so I want to get that straight, it's ten percent."

"Now in terms of what would happen if we were to be successful and they say okay fine, that's easy, everyday the pass supplemental budget in the house, for little or nothing, so that can be solved in that form. So even if the budget has the cut in it - well not even if, it has the cut in it, they can always go back and pass a supplemental budget to cover the shortfalls to make up that ten percent if in fact we are successful."
